    Dad got this 970 on Oct. 3 1975 (The day I born). It was traded for a 2290 in Aug 1980. Some of my earliest memories are riding in that tractor with grandpa hauling corn silage.

    This is on a 1030 but Im looking to do the same thing. Any suggestions on how to get the plug out. I already broke one wrench trying. Can a guy safely put some heat to the block to get the plug to turn out?
