    You could study up on Jack Welch and Ivan Boesky. I think there were changes in bookkeeping rules. Used to be a well-run company had funds for replacing old buildings and equipment and for paying pensions. Then outsiders started buying them up to cash out the funds into their own pockets...

    Looking for another idea.

    I don't know if it would happen here, but I had an old Ford flathead six that overheated. Finally figured out that it sucked the intake hose shut. Needed wire coil inside to fix it.

    Old tractor.

    My guess is that it is a Russian Universal. They had a production based on a McCormick Deering, but modified the design to suit their own conditions and ideas.

    It looks all-American to me. The water-wash air-cleaner is missing. The carb looks like it is from a Model A car. The usual Ford coils and timer have been replaced by an aftermarket Bosch magneto. A fairly common conversion. The rear wheels are cut-offs, converted to rubber-tired rims. Also...

    Help with identification ford 3000

    At a glance, it looks like a regular 3000 gas. The carburetor and starter don't look like the American version. If it had a four cylinder transplant, the Ford tractor engine from a 5000 could be used. But it would require stretching the hood and the radius rods. Can you give us the numbers...

    Allis-Chalmers DeLuxe

    Doesn't look stupid to me. I guess I would have tried to have the bucket closer to the front wheels, though. With much of a load, it would have been hard to steer, but they all were. This one's load is limited by the rear wheels lifting off the ground.

    It was built in November 1965. Thus a 1966 model year. It looks British because of the fender style, The "B" in front of the serial number and the rear wheels.
