    Removing Castle Nut on Woods Mower Gearbox?

    I would put the gearbox in a vice, put the pto universal back on the shaft, put a long bar thru the universal joint, 6 point socket on castlenut, impact or cheater bar should free it up ?

    I think you will need to back the M over the fenders and stop just as soon as you come off the fenders? Consider reversing the wheels on the axle and the M should fit between the fenders

    Late in 1961? I wonder how much longer that freight hauler was powered by steam? I thought most major Class 1 Roads switched to diesel/electric by 1960?

    Butchers Steel. It is missing an important hilt. To be held with the thumb on the same side as the fingers. Returns the edge to a properly sharpened knife in a short time. Slaughterhouse butchers will have one on their belts all the time.
