Safety Instructions For Paint Hardner Sold on This Side

A couple of years ago I got some advice from my Internist, also Chief of Staff at our local hospital and a casual friend of mine after I mentioned my restoration project and hardeners. My wife was also there as it was at a social event. When we got home that was the end of partial protection...

Anyone know PPG Omni Code for Ford 850?

Here are the Omni paint codes, I would mix as per the manufacture's spec at 4.1.2. I found too much orange peel using 4.1.1.

    Omni Question and HVLP Setting

The Omni data sheet sheet says 4.1.2 for mix ratio. My supplier said to use 4.1.1. I managed to shoot some red without too many issues, but I have major orange peel issues with the grey. I am guessing the mix ratio is the problem. Should 4.1.2 be used. the paint is single stage 2.8, MTX...

Anyone know PPG Omni Code for Ford 850?

I spent a lot of time on this for my 641, not sure if the colours are the same or not for the 641 and 850. I did not want the orangey colour so used the vermillion. The original vermillion is not available as it had lead in the mix, I have an Omni code for a replacement that is almost a...

    Paint Code

I need help with "Ford Tractor Red" which at one time I believe was/is Vermillion. In 2012 I had paint mixed for me , a single stage urethane, one qt was Shop Line and the other qt was Value Pro, they matched identically. The paint code is DT3272. The problem is that the supplier I used...

    Paint Code

Yes you are absolutely correct, the original colour was the "orange red", it was under the red paint when I started to strip the paint off. The previous owner painted over the original paint. I didn t like the orange tint, so went to the older "Vermillion" which may have been an 8N colour...

    Paint Code

Wow, thanks for the help, yes you are correct. I have the Chrysler/Dodge DT3272. 70075, on the can that they mixed. Beats me why they couldn t call their tech rep at their supplier. I ll follow up with the ACE039 911721. and the Motorcraft service part number. Hopefully one of those...

    Mini HVLP

Sounds like it would be easier for me to use the 1.4 gun, keep the recommended mix ratios and waste a little bit more paint. Too much effort cleaning the parts and prep work then to be worried about using a little extra paint. Thank you

    Mini HVLP

The parts are cast, so finish is not critical, I m getting to the point of needing to start painting. The shop line spec recommends 1.4. Nice to save product if I can. Thanks for the response.

    Mini HVLP

I have a mini gun with a .8 mm tip, I want to apply some PPG epoxy primer. Is this a waste of time. I do have regular HVLP gin with a 1.4, but I am just doing parts and wanted to spray lower volumes. Gun is a Power Fist sold in Canada by Princess Auto, cheap gun and no loss if it is useless.

    Driving shed moving

Remember that pole structures develop wind resistance by bending moments in the poles. This is obtained by burial depth related to the soil strength. So if you are going to cut off the poles and anchor them onto a conventional foundation the contractor will need to design a moment connection...

Storage of cleaned parts prior to painting

I am in the same situation, working on restoring a 641 Ford with no time window. I use electrolysis to clean the parts but need to store them before getting enough parts to prime and paint. I use Picklex 20, have at the moment 10 to 15 parts cleaned with Picklex on them for 8 months. The...
