    Dumb clutch question

UPDATE: I got the clutch installed today. Went through the trouble of removing the flywheel and hauling it to the clutch shop due to the advice received in this thread. Got there and they told me that these flywheels don't get resurfaced. The tractor went back together fairly easy. I use a floor...

    Dumb clutch question

I have a 5200 tractor that I'm putting a new clutch in. It is a dual clutch assembly. Will I need to have the flywheel resurfaced? I have a manual and can find nothing saying the flywheel needs to be redone. Just want to make sure.

    What could go wrong?

Try turning it off and turning it back on again to see if it fixes the problem.

You can also drive a rod or steel post into the "stump" and pull the remaining post out.

    Rock drill

You'll need a 185cfm compressor and a rock drill. The steel will need to be a 4 foot length if the rock is on the surface of the ground. You'll also need some stout mechanical help to remove the steel if it gets hung up in the ground.

    Valve Lash Adjustment Ford 641

I did mine cold. You don't have to take anything but the valve cover off. No need to remove the fuel tank or sheet metal. You may want/need a flathead screwdriver bent at a 90° angle to turn the adjuster screw.
