    Cement Poured

Air entrainment is recommended for concrete that is going to be subjected to freeze/thaw cycles - like sidewalks

    Nice classified add

There were quite a few dolly wheel rakes around here. They were handy when using a double rake set up

    12 g blank?

Actually gage or gauge is correct. Gage is more prevalent in American english - gauge is more prevalent in the queens english. Kind of like plow vs. plough

Added another piece to the collection

Very nice. When I was a kid the "big" tractor of the guy I worked for was an Oliver 1550. When I got real lucky I would get to pull a 3-16 semi-mount with auto reset with it. I was living large..

    23 hp kohler problem

My brother has a Kubota zero turn with a 22hp Briggs that had a similar problem - turned out to be a bent push rod

    Red power hay making tractor?

I've got an Oliver 1755 and a White 2-105. With the over/under hydraul you have three ranges of shift on the fly - both are excellent hay tractors, and maybe a little cheaper than the red or green ones

    cut some birch

Tamarack, or larch as we call it around here, is my favorite wood. Very tough wood - I made all of my wagon racks and wood rail fence out of it. I even had some shaped into tongue and groove flooring - came out beautiful

Any creative ways to deal with netwrap?

They do make a biodegradable net wrap. Our local JD dealer used to carry it. I'm guessing it's probably expensive though

    12 volt conversion question

Years ago I bought an Allis D-14 from a jockey that had converted it to a 12 volt system. When I started using it, it was burning up points like crazy. Turns out he didn't change out the coil. I pulled a 12 volt coil off one of the junk cars in the ding weeds at the farm, and it cured the problem

    Full Elevator

We're between Cooperstown and Oneonta. He hauls with all straight trucks, so it get's expensive to go far. The elevator is hoping to get some moved out this week Early in the harvest season it seemed to rain every other day, so they got set back

    Full Elevator

The guy I help with hay was taking the corn off the farm next to ours, and I asked him why so late - he said his bins are full and the elevator isn't taking any because they're full too. The corn is standing pretty well so far, but he's got a couple hundred acres to go. This is central NY and...
