Brand new 1983 555 - Well, new to me...

I had a 555B the bucket controls were very tight and stuck similar to yours. once we got the stick to move it was hard to center. If I remember correctly we kept spraying penetrating oil on it till it loosened up. The steering cylinders were usually the leaking culprit. Ron

    Shouler pain

Went to an orthopedist for the first time last month. My neck and shoulder were bothering me so badly. X-rayed me and I waited an hour for the doctor to talk to me. When he walked into the room I could see in his face a look I had seen before. When you look at a tractor that is just not worth...

    Ford 601 differential numbers

You might consider finding a rear axle from an 801 or a 4cyl 4000. A little heavier and stronger and will bolt right in. I happen to have an extra one if you live on the east coast.

My boss has a 444B when we had to put joints in that shaft my fellow worker had to crawl under and up to get his short, thin, wirey self under there to get to it. If I remember correctly I had to direct him through a spot I could barely see what he was doing. It wasn't easy and I was surprised...

    Chevy 'crump' update

How about a wheel bearing? Our 2004 Tahoe made a rumbling sound when turning left. Bad wheel bearing.

How did you hurt your self this week

I bleed like crazy for the same reasons. One day I was in the shop checking out a tagalong trailer. I had drill sitting on the fender. Leaning over my head touched the drill bit and made a little scratch right in the hairline of my forehead. I'm checking the wheel bearings and sweating when the...
