Power Steering Pressure Port

I have a new Eaton style power steering pump. Everything seems to be the same as the original pump except there is something in the pressure port that wasn't in my original pump. It prevents the banjo fitting from threading in all the way. Does anyone know if this is a check valve or something that can be removed? Thank you for any help.

I believe the power steering pump Flow control /pressure relief valve was missing in the old one
That's probably right. Think maybe this new pump wasn't machined deep enough. So, I machined the end of the banjo fitting bolt down just a little and that took care of the problem. Thank you for your Insite.
