    I use a 3/4 inch copper pipe taped into a shop vac hose. Takes a while but you can dig around in there. 1 inch is better because the lime doesn't plug it as easily, but the tight fit limits the side movement in the element hole.

    Staples are used on the edges where there is a thin nylon like strip to staple into. I made the mistake of installing a new top on my daughters car once. Good thing the car wasn't that nice and she wasn't too fussy.

    I have had a few fords that get a windshield leak that gets the ecm wet under the dash on the drivers side. The ecm then energizes a relay for the heater or the wipers. If anything that shouldnt work with the key off is working, that's the problem.

    Sometimes there is a lime build up on the probe that goes in the tank on the back of the gas valve. The gas valve can be removed and that probe can be cleaned off. Your type of gas valve is more costly to replace and isn't stocked at Menards. Water will come out if you unthread the gas valve and...

    Sometimes an exhaust leak will let enough air in on a quick downthrottle that the extra fuel in the exhaust explodes, causing a backfire.

    I have a Massey 135 with the Perkins gas engine that i use to plow and disc a 10 acre garden The engine is tired and uses a lot of oil. Anyone recommend a shop near the twin cities for this kind of work? Oil pressure reads good and i had the head rebuilt a couple years ago. tractor works good...

    Got my new plow shares for my old Dearbon 2-14 plow installed. Steve at ploworx made them up and they fit perfect. Couldn't believe how worn out the old ones were. Looking forward to plowing the 10 acre garden. Now i wish i would have gotten landsides as well.
