Need SOS help
I recently swapped for a a 4 cylinder 4000 with the SOS transmission. The previous owner could not make it run. When the starter was engaged it would spin 4-5 rounds then act like the battery died. wait 10 sec. or longer and it would do the same again. I felt like it was building hydraulic... -

Super Major 5000 paint color
My friend Mac just bought a Super Major 5000. He is trying to find out if the blue and gray is the same color as the colors used on the tractors manufactured in the U.S. during the '60's. Thanks for helping us find the correct colors for his tractor. -

860 with flat running boards
As a kid I remember seeing a 850/860 with flat running boards. The cap holding the ball at the rear end of the radius rod has a bracket made on it which supports the front of the running board and attaches to it. Why were these running boards different and when did they change? -

Help identify my tractor
I have what I believe is a 1964 4 cyl. 2000 but the date code makes me think it was made in '66. Help me understand what I have and why I'm confused. The numbers stamped on the transmission are as follows: 6M 12 21111-4 74728 Any help is appreciated. Jim -

Dexta vs. Super Dexta
Did Ford make any Super Dexta's with the Simms pump with vacuum governor? I looked at a tractor today that had the Super Dexta grill and radiator cover but it had the Simms pump with the vacuum governor. It has been sitting in a barn for about 20 years. I was not able to get the SN. -
