John deere model A oil outlet washer question

A nut the same as the rest of the cylinder head stud nuts is also used on the oil washer. I always put a little bit of permatex aviation sealer between the washer and the head before torquing the nuts. Also iirc the stud on that washer one is a touch longer than the rest.

John deere model A oil outlet washer question

All nuts on the cylinder head will have a lead washer under the nut. They usually are included in head gasket kits. As far as the oil port something sounds off. The late and mid styled a that port piece to feed the rockers there's a difference between them iirc. Sounds like you have...

    DLTX 67 rust prevention

Concrete block etch products are phosphoric acid. I've done some experiments with blasted carb parts with mixed results, I think it boils down to trying to get the acid neutralized.

    Model A piston question

I've put together a 44a with mw style high compression pistons and currently working on a g that will have them. I can't say anything negative about them. Lp pistons might be a good option but finding good ones these days might be tough. If the price is right and the parts are in good...

    Alternator set up

Glad to see I'm not the only one who's had issues with some of the regulators coming from China. I bought a supposed to be made in the USA from brillman but have yet to use it. I've converted some work tractors to alternators and and haven't regretted it yet.

How Much is a DLT-7 Bowl Worth?

Cant really say how much is one worth but if it has the 3/4 hole instead of the 7/8, I would think it would be worth a little more if it isn't cracked around were the fuel inlet fitting screws in.

Exhaust manifold is different for propane, doesn't have a heat exchanger in it like the gas or all fuels. As far as I know no one is reproducing them.

Call Lind brothers in Kentucky or Martins parts and repair in Indiana. They will probably have what you need. Or advertise on this site looking for one.

    Unstyled A crankshaft bearings?

That's exactly what I did I used late a/60 rods in a 44 A and had the crank polished and new mains poured. A lot of work and expense in today's world I would imagine. Herm kohnke did my mains not really sure if he's still in business. That was probably 12 years ago.

    Unstyled A crankshaft bearings?

Unstyled a will be babbit on the mains and rods. You can reset the shims to make up for wear. Or if the babbit is bad you will need to have them re poured or find good used mains and rods. Mantiwoc only has the full round insert mains for the later two cylinders iirc.
