I am doing firewood all wrong!

In MN you have to have certified firewood at most campgrounds. Meaning it has been de-bugged. Stopping invasive species from damaging our forest is not possible, but they are trying to slow its progress. That's why it is at every gas station and farm store in our area.

    Wednesday Woodwork 5

Similar to one I have made by Ottawa. This one above looks home made to me. Mine has a Continental Motor on it. I have not messed with it. My friend's dad use to use it to cut brush.

    JD 1010

I had a 1010 crawler loader. Worked the snott out of that machine with no issues. Overhauled it once, and rebuilt the under carriage once too. I would not hesitate to own a 1010 again but have no need now for a tractor that new or small. I prefer to collect un-styled tractors.

    Snow

Here in northern MN we had a little snow in November. We have had rain now and temps in the 40's. Unusual but not unheard of. In 1983 I was building my log house in January in my T shirt, as it was in the 50's in what is the usually coldest month of the year.

    Here is my 47 Chevy

I just drove it out for a Photo shoot for my daughter's family pictures with dad's truck. I drove it back home, gave it a bath, and put it to bed for the winter.

    Here is my 47 Chevy

It has been a two-year project to restore this 1947 3600. It has a 235 six in it. That's what it had when I bought it. I wanted the stock running gear, No mods to anything on the chassis. A few enhancements like a Gear Vendors overdrive behind the SM420 four speed, two progressive two-barrel...

    DU-AL blues

I can buy packing at my local hardware store for my du-al loader. Do you know the diameter of the rod? My cylinders are hollow and one of my bucket cylinders has a dent in it. Some day I d like to replace that rod.

    1930 John Deere GP

My tractor is quite noisy in the gears. I believe it is the primary reduction coming off the crankshaft. Has anyone done anything to improve their tractor gearing? I suppose new gears could be made. I just thought I’d ask if anybody has improved their GP. This post was edited by Lumbersawyer on...

    Tractor show picture

Went to the tractor show in Blackberry Mn today. I have not run my tractors for two years because of a shoulder injury last year. So, I had the wife help me pull my GP out of the shed on Friday afternoon. I added a couple gallons of fresh gas and it fired right up. I rebuilt this in 2017 from a...

    Tractor show picture

We don’t get a lot of tractors, less than 100. The club owns three steam traction engines, two large Fairbanks Morse diesel stationary engines, a six cylinder and a four cylinder. Both have a 14" bore. Several large single cylinder stationary diesel engines and steam engines. A nice saw mill...

Gutter guards (add on screens to house gutters)

I tried to use them but I have a metal 7/12 pitch roof. They froze up with ice and bent my seamless gutters. Took them off and went back to cleaning gutters.
