    question about Massey Harris#82 combine

    I inherited this Massey Harris combine. From my late cousin. He bought it new. Question is how do I tell year cause its markers Massey Harris and Massey Ferguson never been repainted always in shead. Also what size flat 6 does it have.

    stuck pistons hitting my 55055 d head

    Guys i have a di case that someone tried to patch the head long story short it did not work it was a 5567 head . I had a rebuilt 5505 head well the pistons hitad now they are flat top that come out of block. Can i just stack gaskets and make it work or am i screwed and got to find another 5567 head

    D case motor trouble

    Yes it is locking up lol it will start luging motor down till it kills ot. If u try to start it it just solid. Let it cool down for a hour and its starts right up till it gets hot 180 degrees then it will start luging downhim and lock up again

    I can see how that could happen. And maybe the case on the old lpg d but on the di it is all new. I guess i will tear it back down and see what i find . I have 4 D series tractor DCS ,DI DC3 and a D.

    On the DI, I just had all new guieds ,sleves,pistons rings had rods re babit its has about 10 hours on it wife just uses it for parades. I decided to work her garden down for winter and was pulling a 6 foot disk made about 8 passes when this happend . oil is 30w and timing is advanced 2 degrees...
