Fergie Positioner for Ferguson TEA 20

Well done and I bet you had some fun making it too. I changed the split pins (I think you guys call them cotter pins?) for small R clips so I could easily and quickly swap back to draft control if I needed to. Didn t happen often but it was easy to pull the clips and washer off and put them in...

    Ferguson Crane (Aussie version) Drawings

Thanks Bob, I'm going back to maybe 2003/4 - I seem to recall Russ sent the file as a pdf. I can get photos of the cranes, but it would be a shame to have to recreate Russ' great work in producing the drawings. Maybe one of the others that got a copy will read this - I hope so :D

    Ferguson Crane (Aussie version) Drawings

Years ago, and many computer deaths since, a really helpful chap in Australia whose handle on here was "Russ in Aus" emailed me, and others, a set of CAD drawings for an Ozzie version of the famous Ferguson Crane attachment. His email is now non-responsive (not surprising, I haven't been on...

Fergie Positioner for Ferguson TEA 20

Sorry - misposted this reply to the wrong place - haven't been on here for years :D If you're a just a little handy with doing stuff yourself, I built this one years ago for my TE from the plans in the link here. I can't claim any credit for the design - I think it was all down to Jeff...

Fergie Positioner for Ferguson TEA 20

If you're a just a little handy with doing stuff yourself, I built this one years ago for my TE from the plans in the link here. I can't claim any credit for the design - I think it was all down to Jeff. Anyway, it worked really well, and cost nothing to build as I used bits lying around in...

    My envy

Aaah, that phrase brought a couple of lines from a song to head "She drove a Plymouth Satellite, Faster than the speed of light". Now I know what one of them looks like  Not been on here for a year or two, but passing through and having a browse, and yes, a very nice tractor!

    Massey 65 stuck in reverse

One other thought comes to mind - it is possible the bolt that fixes the selector fork to the shifter rail has either sheared or fallen out - if this is the case, then the rail will still be moving, but the selector fork won't, so the tractor will stay in gear. Again, as has been suggested by...

MF 702 Loader external filter cross reference?

Wow, it worked :D Got home yesterday to find emails waiting with logins and passwords - awesome! The site is very slow though - of course, it could just be our broadband out in the countryside that's doing it. Many thanks pt :)

MF M40 B Hydraulic oil and locations

Awesome bit of kit the 40B - lucky you, I was after one over here, but most of them are shot away. L,S,H - that's your Low ratio, 'Start' position (neutral on the ratio box) and High ratio. The 'Start' position should be the only place the engine will start, but often the switch associated...

MF 702 Loader external filter cross reference?

Thanks pt but I have already tried that and they don't like giving access to their parts info unless you're a bona fide dealer :(

MF 702 Loader external filter cross reference?

Found It :D Vapormatic VPK1595 fits a treat. Maybe the info will helps others. As I suspected, there was no filter in the external canister at all, only the mesh filter of last resort - and that was very clogged with eons of crud.

In reply to master Control Spring thread

Sorry about the 'classic view' thing - I have no idea what is going on :? If your top link yoke, and the bushes that keep it in place are all good, there should be no slack! With mine, I did all the spring setting outside the top cover, then replaced the spring in the top cover, without...

In reply to master Control Spring thread

Sorry, been having problems replying to the thread below about the master control spring, so here goes, but with a new topic to kick it off - moderators if you can move this to where it needs to be that would be great - thanks :) Is the 1/8" of slack in the yoke or in the spring? When you...

    Master Control Spring

i really hope this posts this time - been having trouble with this thread for some reason . . . Is the 1/8" of slack in the yoke or in the spring? When you reassembled the new spring etc., you should do up the adjustment on the threaded bar that runs through the spring until you can only...

    Master Control Spring

Maybe third time lucky . . . . .? Is the 1/8" of slack in the yoke or in the spring? When you reassembled the new spring etc., you should do up the adjustment on the threaded bar that runs through the spring until you can only just turn the spring by hand, then lock everything off, and put...

    Installing stand pipe

Also, make sure the 'fingers' that operate the rollers on the control valves in the bottom RHS of the trans housing are the correct side of the rollers - from memory, the rollers need to be in front (tractor front) of the fingers. I seem to recall I used some string to pull the two rollers...
