    Wood splitter LCT engine

I am working on a friends Forest King 22 ton wood splitter bought at Menards a couple of years ago. It has a 6.5 HP LCT 208 Series engine. The engine will run but kicks back when starting. It will rip the cord right out of my hand with a lot of force. At first I thought about maybe a...

    SC Case wheels

I have a pair of spoke wheels from my 1943 SC Case. They look like they may have originally been steel wheels but a rim was welded on for rubber tires. I have had these sitting around for a long time and am contemplating selling them for scrap. Is there any call for them out there or should I...

I have a 1952 TO-30 that I acquired that was setting for awhile and I want to grind the valves on it. I have another head from a 1954 TO-30 that the valves and seats probably look a little bit better. Examining these heads I discovered that combustion chamber part is made differently. There...

    Fuel pump module

My son has a 2005 F-150 truck and it was parked outside on a rainy wet day. It wouldn't start and we could hear a short noise at the fuel pump when the switch was turned on but it didn't sound like the pumping sound. A shot of fuel in the intake and it would start right up. We banged on the...

    9N swinging draw bar

I was going through some of my tractor related manuals and came across an old one for a Ferguson disc harrow. My dad bought a 1940 9N new and I found the manuals for a disk harrow, mower and cultivator which I believe were all bought around that time. I still have the cultivator and disk but I...

    Oliver sickle mower

I have an Oliver sickle mower that I bought a number of years ago and has been sitting in the shed. I thought that I would check out the tag and it says 190004-F and then a 83 over a bit. I cannot read if these are serial numbers or a model number. Any hints out there as to a model or should...

    Trivia

Here is a puzzle if you are interested. I have a digital alarm clock with a display bright enough to serve as a nightlight. At what time is it the brightest? And when is it most dim. Assume a 12 hour civilian time and digits made from a maximum of seven glowing bars.

    Oh my aching back!!

The high winds the last few days brought down a lot of weak and dead branches. I found out that I am not as limber as I used to be. The remaining wind made it fairly cold out there but maybe it will help toughen me up for upcoming deer season so that I am not a wimp. :o)
