Bypassing a leaking brake equalizer valve for IH 454

Anyone on the forum have any information on how to bypass a brake equalizer valve? I recently rebuilt my valve but it has started leaking again. I found a couple of posts about bypassing the valve by replacing the 2 tee fittings with elbow fittings. If you connect these to the supply lines do you just plug the hole in the master cylinder with a plug? I read a post about the brakes working fine without the equalizer valve. Any information would be appreciated.

Dad bypassed something on the brakes on the 574 and as had brakes every since. Before that ir spent most of the warrant time in the hospital for brake problems. Now they work every time you step on the pedal.
