That's what I told the better half Friday when she wanted to plant green beans because (grandpa always did). An hour later there we were planting beans.

They did a good explanation of early soy planting, using seed treatment to prevent seed disease and rot in the ground. What happens if a frost happens say after the beans are above ground on April 15 and a frost happens on April 20. Seems like the bean plant would not take that no matter the seed treatment. He planted 380 acres in March. Seems like a huge risk of frost kill. I don't know when his frost free date is, in southern Indiana i think it is between May 1 and 10. I have heard spring is about 10 days early this year , maybe that is what he is counting on.
