Does tern (lead) coated steel require a special primer ?
I am painting a tern (lead) coated hydraulic tank on a Massey Harris 444. I noticed that when I wire brushed the tank, the factory paint came off pretty easy. This raised a red flag that maybe a specific primer is required for this material. I am using a dealer supplied (alykd) for both priminmg and top coat.
