I"m freezing my tail off in Cedar Rapids, IA and my manuals are at home but I"m thinking Ford never offered a 941- 951, 961, 971 and 981 were the only models. Maybe it originally had a SOS and someone swapped in a 4 speed.

Say what? Must be cold up there. The add says it's a 5 speed.

John, John, John,

must be hotter than you know what in LA. You best look again Laughing

The add I'm reading says 4 cyl 3 pt 5 speed 12 volt

Get your specs out and read it again Laughing

Besides which, if you and AHWTX put them specs on and look really closely, you'll be able to distinguish a 5 speed shifter in the photo. Shocked

Larry,
I don't know which version of the ad you're looking at but the one on my computer definitely says "4 speed". Mine is a laptop with about a 10" screen and I can't see the shifter clearly but I can read the print that says 4 speed.

This past Sunday was my birthday (#55- ouch!) and it was 78* in Lampasas. I guess AlGore is right- global warming has struck. Who ever dreamt of 78* on Feb 1 in Central Texas?
And it's about 10* or 20* here in Cedar Rapids.

Interesting.

The add linked by my computer says "4 speed" and, though it looks like a 5 speed shifter, I cannot tell with confidence from the picture.

In any event, it looks like a good buy be it 4 speed, 5 speed or S-O-S unless something serious is wrong with it.
