In rebuilding the Massey 165 with the 203 diesel, I am mounting the front mount hydraulic pump often seen on the 3165 industrials since its main use is loader work. I'm using a 236 loader which does not have the reservoir built into it like the industrial model loader so I'm in need of a tank. The supplier I bought the pump from said I'd make too many air bubbles in the case if I used its oil for supply.

I'm thinking about a 3 gallon fuel cell for the hydraulic fluid and a 6 gallon cell for the fuel since we never seemed to have to put fuel in the original tank so it just goes bad.

Where does everyone mount your auxiliary tanks?

Second question is what kind of other things are needed? Pressure regulator, bypass hoses (for when the loader is off take the loader off to make maintenance and repair easier), or anything else? We already had the loader on the tractor using the slow 4 gpm OEM hydraulic pump.

Thanks all!

Using the transmission on our 165 with no issues. For what that transmission is, I doubt a few bubbles would do much harm in there. It's not like a modern transmission with tons of clutch packs and friction plates.
