My Oliver 550 gas,the oil buzzer is going off continuously. Oil level right up to full, tractors been running fine. I can use remote starter switch to start tractor, but would like to fix the buzzing problem so that key switch works. Any suggestions?
Thank you in advance

Maybe the oil sender is broken or disconnected? Look under oil filter.

If that wire or sender is grounded anywhere it will buzz. How much oil pressure do you have?

Pardon my ignorance, but being the new owner of a 550 (less than 1 week) I didn't realize that there was an oil pressure buzzer. Where is it located?
Do any of the 550's have an oil pressure guage? Mine does not. Just the Tach/hour meter and fuel/temp guage.

If you remove the hood by undoing the four wing nuts, you will see the buzzer in front of instrument panel behind gas tank. It will be connected to the oil pressure sender with a pale blue wire if it is original wiring....and also connected to oil pressure warning light.
No, sadly 550s do not have a separate oil pressure gauge.
My buzzer went off briefly the day I changed the electrics from negative back to positive ground and it has been fine ever since.

Thanks for the answer Chris. I believe that mine is still the original wiring. Is this the same buzzer that comes on when I first turn the key to start the tractor?
