I have a Haban sheller, like Tom from Ontario, and jbp. It's 3 point hitch, and PTO. Don't have to run it with a big tractor. I was running out 50 hogs a year. Worked real good for me. |

my dad always soaked his shelled corn over night in water. it softened the corn enough to where the pigs could digest it better. |

I saw one of these shellers years ago but never could remember the name. Haban, well Thank You!Now I know what to look for. |

Thanks for all the replies, we have two other mills near by but neither have a sheller for ear corn. I don't grow enough to justify a combine or bin, I do have a picker and crib and was looking if I could shell the corn before I it take to the mill and have it ground and the protien added. I'll be hunting around for a sheller but I hope there is a buyer/operator for the mill. |
