Normally I run a bad starter by a rebuilder as I like to keep oem starter's and gens, vs new overseas model.

if it turns out to be unrebuildable.. then price new ones.

this site claims to have one, and / or the rebuilding supplies.

Delco component will bear a Delco component number. (this case#1113138) this component, however, will be assigned a Ford part number by Ford Motor Company when used on a Ford product....

Check your yellow pages for a starter rebuilder in your area..

Gary, if worse comes to worst, there's a dang good rebuilder down Beatrice way. He doesn't charge an arm and a leg either. If he can't get it going for you, it isn't doable.

His name is Dave Spilker. His business is Spilker/Sprague Electric.
