this spreader is over 100 years old am thinking about restoring it any tips will be helpful<

Measure twice, Cut once? Sounds like a fun project if you like wood working.

Here is one hanging in my shop. Probably should sell it. Kinda out of room. It is an original Model B John Deere. Never converted, original slats, seat, double tree and tongue. Still can read the stenciling on the sideboards.

I don't think I would redo that spreader. it seems to be in really good original condition. I would love to have it just the way it is if it's for sale!

It looks like the one that Dad had when I was a kid; we used it until Dad sold the horses in 1950. Doubt that it's 100 years old though; probably made in the early-to-mid 30's. That one is in better shape than ours was.

my first manure spreader i learnd that they are wideer at the at the back than they are at the front. start the floor in the middle.
