I recently bought an Model E Combine that is complete and works well after some TLC. This week when I tried to move it out from the Shed it would not engage into reverse. It moves forward however no reverse.Could it be that my Traction belt is too loose or is Transmission needing to be looked at? Please help.

Well-used Gleaner transmissions are notorious for getting stuck in gear because of wear in the shift mechanism. Does the combine shift to neutral? Also make sure a pin has not fallen out of the reverse shift linkage down by the transmission. BTDT on my old E.

It will shift into neutral, and first Gear however it won't move into Reverse. I will check Transmission shift linkage and check to see that no pins have come off. Thanks for help Tim.
