My pump went bad on my 1530, and I can not figure out how to take it off. I unbolted it but it will not pull out. Any one know how these little bugers come off? I have a manual on order, but I am realy in a crunch to get it off and sent in for over hall. Then all I have to do is figure out how to time it. Need to get the hay cut. What fun! Thanks for any help!!!!!

If the 1530 has a dubuque engine.... Which I'm assuming it does. You will have to remove timing gear cover and remove the nut off the front of the gear driving the pump. Usually its a good idea to line up those timing marks before removing the pump.

Just what you wanted to hear I'm sure. And you thought this was going to be an easy job.

thanks,
but it has the Frenchy diesel. So it may be different. What a weird combo. German tractor and French engine. Something wrong with that. LOL

kw650 there;s a timing pin on clutch housing. Unsrew and insert in hole in flywheel at #1 TDC. As previously stated remove small front plate on timing gear cover, then unbolt pump shft from gear. Tx Jim
