What is with all the garbled up words

For the last week or so, I have been seeing posts with words all garbled up and letters in words on top of other letters.
Just curious what is causing it. Seams real frequent today in several posts.

Tractor tales a post by IaLeo has that. Took me a bit to remember which one I had seen it in this morning but I have notice this problem a number of times over the last few days and figure it was some one doing the good old ^&%*^$%^&% instead of cussing

That looks like he's using an alternate character set to normal US english.

Yes, Modern View is newer and handles these two byte character sets. Classic doesn't and damages them as it saves them away. It's the quotes and apostrophes that are doing it in his post.
