Where, other than the aluminum tag attached to the tractor, can I find the serial number on an "H" John Deere? The aluminum tag has been scratched and is no longer legible. Any information would be appreciated.

There is no other place that has the ser.# of your tractor. Only that tag.

You might try removing the tag and looking at the backside. Sometimes the stamped letters leave an imprint.

Sometimes covering the tag with a piece of paper, and then gently shading the paper with a light pencil will make the numbers legible on the paper. I'm doing a lousy job of describing this, hopefully you get
the idea...
