Hi all, Hopefully someone give me some help. I have a Ford 9N. It is running on 1 cylinder. There is strong fire to one cylinder and weak fire to the other four cylinders. I have changed the plugs and checked the spark with a light. It fired on 1 cylinder and now it won't start. Thanks for any ideas you can give me. Clarence.

Have you checked the point gap?

Condition of the cap, moisture under the cap, condition of the plug wires?

I had a guy call me a few week ago about an 8N front mount that would fire but not run. I pulled the distributor and found that the points did not open like they should. Bad distributor bushings. Replaced the distributor and it fires right up and last O knew was still running good. I would check and make sure the points are set at 0.015 and that they open to that on all four lubes on the distributor shaft. If they do then it could have low compression or sticking valves etc.
