Is a bearing available for the Camshaft Drive Gear in the 3000 3 cylinder engine? This is Item 25, C5NE-6A253-A in my parts book and on the New Holland parts website is listed as Gear Assy - Camshaft Drive, but it doesn't give the bearing part number or size. The maintenance manual refers to it as a bushing and says to replace the gear if it is worn or scratched. Any ideas short of replacing the gear?

Mine isn't trashed, but it is definitely worse than the cam bearings.

Bushing is not available separately from the gear. That said, are you sure yours is bad? I don't think I've ever seen one worn
bad enough to warrant replacing.

Bummer. It hasn't fallen apart but it has a lot of spots and discoloration. All mains and rod bearings needed replacing, some were completely trashed. Cam bearings looked pretty good. If it isn't available I will reassemble and move on.

That wouldn't bother me - I'd run it. It's gone 50 years, it'll go another 50.

That looks barely worn, put it back in and run it.

A new one would probably look like that after a few hours of run time anyways.
