730 is probably worth a bit more but I like the 720 better.

Price will vary considerably depending on options, sheet metal condition, tires, 3 pt hitch, weights, single or dual hydraulics,
electric start or pony. Tractors are basically the same mechanically if the 720 is a black dash. The 30 series bring alittle more because of collector value. Either one, bare bones, pony start,no 3 point, appearance and tires being equal should be in the $4500-5500 range if both motors run decent. May be cheaper depending on your location and actual selling (not asking)prices are starting to fall off on these

There were only 133 720 ES standards made. But I don't think mine would start today.

Green dash or Black dash 720. Those seriously into the hobby make the distinction.

not to hijack post but do you know how many 720 standard diesels with a pony? i know where one is with a rockshaft and wide swing drawbar which doesnt really make sense to me, i assume either the drawbar frame or rear housing has been changed at some point, any other theories that would explain this combo? any way to tell a row crop rockshaft housing from a standard rockshaft housing? it doesn't have the arms just the shaft.
