Is there a trick to installing the rocker arm assembly on a Case 188? Everything is loose and even 2 of us don't have enough hands to hold everything in place. Poor design

No trick. I'm not gifted in any sense, but even with my clumsy 2 hands, I've done it myself. Put it together on the bench, 1 hand on 1 end, 1 hand on the other & install.

Sometimes one guy with two hands is better than two guys and three hands. As John said, squeeze the entire assy. together and install over studs from front to back or back to front. Once pretty well down on studs, tilt the rockers to engage the pushrods and tighten evenly from front to back.
How did you make out installing the sleeves an pistons??? Saw a previous post you made about that.
