Thanks everyone for your help and
responses to my questions so far! I've
narrowed my choices down to these three
loaders and wanted to get your thoughts on
which would be best. The westendorf ta28
is the most expensive of the three but
looks like a well built loader. I like
the looks of the allied 595 and it's the
cheapest of the three. I've talked to a
few people that have allieds and they all
like them. Third is a quicke x41, middle
of the road on price but looks to be a
little lighter built and no front frame.
Thanks everyone for your time and your
help!

No experience with the Quickie, though they seem to be well respected. My cousin has an Allied 595 on his fwa 7710. Probably getting close to 20 years old now. He's had some trouble with the joystick, but no problems at all with the loader. Only real disadvantage compared to the TA28 would be that it takes 2-3 times as long to put on or take off, and you have to mess around with stands, where the Westendorf uses the frame.

I have a Allied 495 on a 6610, good loader, a bit heavy for a 2 wd tractor, pain in the a-- to put on or take off, the frame work that stays on the tractor is always in the way when doing any maintaince work.

Go with the Quicke... They're a good solid loader, easy on, easy off. Just make sure that the particular model you're looking at is up to the task of standing in front of that tractor.

Thanks Rod, the x41 is what they recommended for the 7710 but I haven't been able to find much info online about it. I know from the pictures it's only supported from the rear loader mounts and there's no loader frame that wraps around the front of the tractor. Will the tractor hold up ok to that style?

I think so.. Big thing is to make sure you keep the mounting bolts tight. Having the front wrap around frame that isn't bolted solid is no guarantee that the tractor won't break either. Most Alo's I've seen were mounted on 40 series and newer tractors that do have a bit more meat through the front support.. but the 10 should be fine too. Overall I would have much more confidence in the Alo loader than the Allied. No experience with the Westendorf... but what I see of them looks clumsy compared to the Alo.

Take a closer look at the mounting brackets for the Quicke.

I recently saw one on a red tractor, and the mounting brackets joined the front and rear of the tractor together, and acted as the loader frame.
