I need a new cooling fan for the back of a Robbins & Myers electric motor. Anyone know of a good source for electric motor parts?

I'm hoping something from another brand might work, as I don't even think R&M is still around.

Fan is 5 inches in diameter, about 3/4 inch tall, and fits a 7/16 shaft.

Actually that is called a heat slinger. If you go to a electrical motor shop they should be able to help you out. Might be a good idea to bring the motor with you. Have a sneaky feeling it ain't gonna be cheap. You must be working with a sealed motor.

Use super glue to put it back together, then super glue a thin metal backing on it for strength.

Just google electric motor cooling fans & you'll find plenty.

You know, that"s what I did the first time, but I used a piece of plastic to back it up instead of metal. It broke again when I was cleaning out the set screw holes and the plastic backer split as well. I will try superglue again with a piece of metal for better strength.

Got an electric motor shop nearby with a motor "bonepile", those fans for TEFC motors are somewhat generic, and I've scavenged good used ones from discarded non-repairable motors, and even swapped them between brands. Some have odd-sized or "D"-shaped shafts, making a replacement harder to find, though.
