Hi I have an old Bolens (I think) walk behind. It has a clutch for each wheel. I found it on a burning pile
where they were clearing land for a subdivision. It didn't have a mag but I got a new one at a business that was closing. I actually had it running about 25 yrs ago. It's stored in an enclosed building.
I would like to know what year it could be. Any help out there? Ed Will Oliver BC

Have you checked for a Bolens forum anywhere on the internet? They may be able to help. Also, any model or serial numbers on the engine or frame may be helpful. I'm guessing its a Wisconsin since you say it was missing the magneto. I don't have any info on Wisconsin engines, but surely someone here or on the internet does.

If it has a mag then likely not super old. Likely a B6 Gardener model with a 4 horse Wisconsin ABN engine. Late 40s to mid 50s. Wico XH mag. I always thought they should go up in value, but still often only bring$ $150-$200.
