My wife was going thru some cabinets and found a newspaper clipping from 1972 showing my grandfather. I so cherish these pictures as I have so few of him. He was well known for his Polish chickens. He always said if he backed up he'd step on me, we were inseparable when I was little. Learned so much from that man.

Always great to have those old pictures to look at. They can sure bring back the memories.

I used to stay a lot with a neighbor who farmed with an old D John Deere. When I was very little he would always let me try to roll the flywheel, which I couldn't even do when it was not against compression. Then we would go to plowing wheat stubble. He would let me drive down the furrow sitting on his lap, and when we would get close to the corner, I would get over to the fender while he would turn and trip the plow out and back in. Then get back on his lap and head to the next corner. I was probably about 7 or 8. Your Grandad has a resemblance to him. Thanks for the pictures.
