I agree jeffcat freedom in this country has turned into an illusion, the gov. tells us what they are going to give us

I believe they are two separate events, with Memorial Day being a good weekend for cemeteries to have decoration/cleanup day.

I agree. Freedom is great. I keep hearing that someone is taking away my freedoms then I ask myself....what is it that I want to do that is restricted? I don't want to hurt you or steal your possessions. I don't want to drive 100MPH down a crowded street , or make noise with my loud vehicle while you are sleeping or trying to hear the Sunday church service. I have the freedom to pray or not pray, but I don't have the freedom to force you to abide by my beliefs (like the taliban does).

Time has taken away my freedom of movement, I can't run and play anymore. And I don't see or hear as well as I used to, but nobody took that freedom away...father time did it.

Sure I have to pay taxes and obey the laws, but those laws are there to give all citizens freedom from fear and freedom to persue happiness,while not worrying about the bad or thoughtless actions of their fellow citizens.
