I picked up a John Deere 332 with the 3TN66UJ 3 cylinder Yanmar Diesel engine, but I can't get it started (I bought it that way). I have fuel to the injectors and the glow plugs are working, so I suspect that
I either have bad injectors or I am going to find low compression readings; however, my current compression tester does not have the correct fitting to screw into the injector hole. I need to find out what
size the threads are that go into the block where the injector screws into or if someone has some other suggestions I would surely appreciate it. There are 1,140 hours on the machine.

1100 hours is just broken in on that engine.
Any diesel shop can test your injectors and pump.
This requires specialized equipment, not guesswork.
It's not that expensive for the testing, and you will be at the mercy of the diesel shop.
The engine internals should be ok unless the machine has been badly neglected.

if other owner was using ether may have washed walls add couple of squirts of oil in cylinders spin over install injectors try to start traper

Check the fuel filter and the air filter,either one plugged up will keep it from starting. You can have fuel to the injectors but not enough pressure to fire. I have a 430,455 and a 332 all have the Yanmar diesel.

If you've got fuel thru the injectors, and the glow plugs are REALLY working/heating, you will at least get exhaust smoke, no matter HOW weak compression might be (although low compression seems unlikely).

Leave the injectors alone for now, and if you are DETERMINED to check compression, use a compression tester that will screw into the glowplug ports.

Pencil-type glowplugs often use a 10MM thread, but I can't say for sure if that's what these are.
