Does anyone know where to get the small stub exhaust pipe that goes from the manifold up through the hood to the muffler on a 445? I had an exhaust place make one but it just doesnt seem right.

Geez Alan, good luck. I have never seen one. I suspect the purpose is to "move " the exhaust over so one can open the hood. The mufflers I've purchased have the inlet and exit offset to accomplish the same thing.

I got one for 5 Star off Doug Cotton. Bought some 2 3/4 exhaust pipe and copied it by cutting and welding.

LOL.....I was thinking "good luck" as well. Ive never seen a decent original anywhere, only attempts from exhaust places. Yes, it was offset to clear the hood. The Jet Stars and 4 Stars had the muffler you mentioned.

If I could find a decent pattern I would be up for doing that as well. The 445s are a little smaller than the 5 Stars. I may try getting 2 45 degree pipes and see what I come up with. The one the exhaust place made sits a little too high.
