AC wanted to make a cheaper tractor, using the WC frame, and the C engine. It was underpowered. Made 1939-41, 5500 tractors. WWII stopped production, sales were poor, did not restart after the war. Most were made in 1939. I have two, one about SN 780, other is around 4xxx, both 1939 models. Differential has different gear ratio than WC, to slow ground speed. Dual fuel was common back then, start on gas, switch to cheaper distillate after warmed up. |
