Were do you get a new cooling-fan motor for a Miller AC/DC welder?

I looked online at Airgas and Baker and all I find for parts are replacement lenses for helmets and stuff like that.

Don't forget about WW Grainger.
They can get you just about any kind of electric motor ever built.

Would that be a dialarc 250. I have a miller that has a bad cooling fan right from the factory. If it is a bearing problem just replace the bearings.

Airgas or any other welding supply doesn't stock cooling fans. The Miller warranty depot in your area may have the cooling fan or the welding supply can order it from Miller. A place that deals in electric motors may be able to match it up as well. If you go to the Miller website, you can look up the parts manual for the machine and get the part number. Have your serial number handy to get the right motor.

I replaced the fan motor on my Lincoln "crackerbox" after a few years of neglect (sitting outside). It didn't last long at all, the replacement looked like the fan out of a bathroom light. I got one of the sealed square fans, commonly called a muffin fan, that fit the hole nicely. That was twenty years ago. The machine still works really well for the quick job that doesn't require a lot of finesse.

Another thought would be to have your old one repaired. There is an older man a little north of you in Inver Grove Heights that repairs AC motors. His partner repairs DC motors. Would most likely be better than getting ripped off on ebay or buying new from Miller. Just a suggestion

Not for nothing but can't you get parts from a Miller dealer?

I thought the whole deal with buying the "good stuff" from a "reputable" brand like Miller was the friendly and helpful local dealer network.
