I have seen kits somewhere to convert the roll pin style closing wheels on a JD 7000 to the bolt on type. Can anyone out there tell me if the newer style bolt-through bearings will work the older style closing wheels? I have some bearings that need replaced and I was hoping I could upgrade the bearing style and re-use my old wheels. Thanks

I have seen kits to change the entire tail wheel assy to the new style cast which may have the bolt on wheels. The Deere bolt on are different wheels.

Jeff, I'm pretty sure if you want to update the style of bearings you have you have to update the wheels. Then, once you do that, you don't have anywhere to bolt them on your old closing wheel frame. I think you have to do the whole assembly unless there is an aftermarket kit I am not aware of. Mike
