I just bought a 54 JD 60 and it had an Airstack on it, it has a john deere part number on it. I was wondering if that was ever a factory option on one?

I don't think any JD 60's came from the Waterloo factory with an air stack. This was a dealer installed item where they cut a hole in the nose cone and remove the factory air intake and installed the air stack in their shop.

This is the 60 that was bought new and put in a barn and never used when a disagreement between the buyer and dealer happened. Story goes the dealership sold and the owner died and the tractor was forgotten about for years. As far as I know it came with the air-stack. Many early 60 and 70s did.
