This is the same 8n I posted questions about yesterday. When you turn the fuel valve off it drips. So we are looking at replacing the valve. We are trying to get the old valve out. We unscrewed the packing nut and screwed the valve out, but we can't pull the valve out of the assembly. Is there a trick to this?

Cat Shipper,It's worth a try, loosen the packing nut and just rap some cotton string around the shaft several times.Soak it with some motor oil then replace the nut and tighten it till the knob has some drag on it.

Run that string through a bar of hard soap. A lot better than motor oil.
