I've never heard of oil chains, for a caterpillar D2 tractor, if you are talking about sealed lubricated track chain for a D2, I don't believe there is such a thing, as D2 undercarriage is obsolete and no new parts seem to be available, unless you convert to D3 undercarriage, which will require some modification to the rollers or track frames to accept the rollers that will work with D3 components.
As a side note, a post like this is vague, unless this is some sort of prank, oil chains for a D2, really ? |

Maybe I'm missing something here LOL, don't mean to be rude, but my first thought when seeing the title was oiling the tracks, an obvious no-no, but oil chains? Theres no roller chain or similar on this tractor, final drives are gears in oil bath, drop housings if I am correct, kind of an odd post LOL ! |

Sounded like he was talking about Ed from Crawler Heaven when he was talking about New York.
