i have a case 2290 stopped moving it still has hydraulics doesn't move in any gear with the clutch out there a lot of pressure to shift it in gear with the tractor running

its not the power shift it was moving then stopped

Most likely a torquelimiter failure. Try to shift it into gear on the 4 speed side with the clutch up. If it will go into gear with no grinding or scraping of the gears you are not turning the trans. thad

the trans is turning in any gear it grinds when the clutch is up and the tractor is running

two thoughts here I have, one I have seen torque limitors still pull enough to make the trans turn with no load hence grear grind with clutch out
two I lost the rear brg on the main shaft in my 2290 and it allowed the shft to move away from the counter shaft and you could here the powershift change but no drive at all I do not remember if I had any gear grind, to check the mainshaft bearing you can remove the pto and see it behind the ring gear, the torque limiter is a split behind the engine, many times I have seen a torque limiter fail I have found trash from the drain plugs below the limiter these two may not be your problem but gives you a couple more ideas cnt
