Ive seen pictures in literature of a hoist wagon being used with a tel-o-flo hydraulic system and am wondering if anyone has ever used one that way? I would think raising a wagon would take out too much oil out of the reservior and starve the rest of the system. Are there any service bulletins on this set up? Or were there extra hydraulic reservoir tanks that were used with them?

I have used our hoist wagon with my m5. Our hoist has a smaller diameter cylinder and the tractor will lift it all the way but if on a hill the steering gets slow when the hoist is up. I don't leave it up very long.

I have, but the system needs to be full, we had one wagon with a smaller diameter cylinder, worked great there, but all the others the reservoir had to be full, or I had to lower it, go get a quart of fluid, top it off, and try again.

I have seen several MM's with added reserve tanks. My 670 has a tank off of an older john deere combine added where the fill tube comes up, it adds another 3 gallons. The previous owner added it because he ran a hesston stakhand with it. The older stackers used 4 large cylinders to lift the stacker lid up and down. Most i have seen with added tanks added them where the fill tube is located. Tanks were usually 6" to 8" in diamater and around 12" tall. Like others said if the tractor system is full and the system you are lifting is full, you should be good to go for most applications.

Why don't you just put another hose on it and have a two way cylinder. We did that for our old 2 cyl JD's.
