All the ones I have seen have been fuel hose not steel.

Thank you for the reply. I believe mine is a solid steel line type. That's only type I've ever seen.

CAV/Lucas/Delphi Thermostart instruction spec sheet lists steel line only to the heater unit as it can overheat causing rubber hose to fail if used. There are 3 flows available, low, medium and high. None should ever be used longer than 1 minute or there is a much greater risk of failure when it overheats.

My Ford 4610 uses a fuel hose (plastic or rubber?) to the Thermostart unit. I"ve never seen a metal one. Not trying to start an argument just stating my experience.
