This message is a reply to an archived post by Paul in SC on December 24, 2010 at 17:49:39.
The original subject was "Farmall Stage 2 Super H Distillate".

Guys, I"ve got a 1954 Super H, kerosene/distilate model. Just finished rebuilding engine, has all correct parts with 6 digit casting codes. Shutters, starting tank, low compression head, kero manifold, heat sheild. IH book I found said only 8 units were made in 54. Serial number is 24,149 AJ... Will have her running on kerosene this week...

Checked serial number again, please update. That last number was on my other 1954 Super h. Here's the kerosene/distilate number, 27078 AJ. Pictures will come later today. Thanks.

A suffix was for distillate fuel. Think 8 built is to low. Fellow that collects SH serial numbers may see this and post how many he has listed.

Just curious if your motor serial number is 27070 on the tractor with the chassis serial of 24149. I'm not sure how many AJ suffix tractors were made in '54. I have seven of them listed, including one that was scrapped in Wisconsin Rapids a couple of years ago. Shoot me an email if you get a chance, superh@maqs.net
The pics of your tractor look great ! Thanks for posting them, Pat
