After draining out old milky / foamy oil do i need to try flushing with anything before putting in new oil? Thanks everyone for your help on my te20.

Yes, flush and wash the what you can. There are enough pockets of oil you"ll want to clean it out so you do not contaminate the new oil.

Also, I would suggest pulling both side inspection plates and perhaps the PTO to help provide access to clean stuff out. I"d say also pull the shift cover plate too, but you say you have a TE, so dismantling half the front end to do it is not worth the effort.

I wrote a procedure for this several years ago.

I was able to find it here. Link to Oil Change Procedure

hey jeff what do you think of this idea I have.
since many folks are saying 10/30 or 10/40 is ok to use in place of gl-1 fill the tranny with the cheaper oil, run the tractor to operating temp. then drain the much cheaper engine oil and after it has drained for awhile fill the tranny back up with the gl-1.

I have no issues with 10W-40. so it sounds good. Next time I do my MF65 I will fill with 10W-40. My winter response time is slow.
